50 for 50 is a milestone portrait campaign for women turning 50 in the UK and Nigeria — a 50th birthday photoshoot built to mark this moment with the craft, intention, and care behind every Avana sitting.

Turning 50 is rarely given the weight it deserves. So much of the noise around this birthday is about slowing down, stepping back, fading quietly into the background. 50 for 50 exists to say the opposite.
Over the next three years, Avana Photography will photograph 50 women as they turn 50 — one woman at a time, one story at a time — across the United Kingdom and Nigeria. Each portrait is a deliberate act of attention: a woman, fully seen, exactly as she is at this milestone.
This campaign sits at the meeting point of faith, heritage, and womanhood — the same threads that run through everything Avana creates. Shot from our Cambridgeshire base and across Lagos, it is part portrait session, part ministry, part record of fifty real women refusing to disappear at fifty.
